Barcelona is experiencing the same transition as most other cosmopolitan cities in Europe and is becoming more vegetarian and vegan friendly every day.
Few weeks ago Barcelona declares itself as a Veg-Friendly city and it actually offers a wide range of vegan cafes and restaurants.

vegetarian selection of tapas, vegancheese, vegburgers and raw food. Every Thursday Vegan Paella is available. A unique selection of craft beer and local organic wine is also available. Inexpensive.
Calle Sevilla 70 – Barcelona
Mostly vegan food, nice selection of hummus, pita, falafel, salads. Fresh ingredients. Great atmosphere, music and friendly staff.
Carrer de Valencia 227 – Barcelona
This cafe specializes in 100% organic, raw, vegetarian food with gluten free options.

Carrer de la Princesa 57 – Barcelona
Vegetarian and vegan dishes. Homemade cakes, muffins, bread. Attentive service, homey atmosphere.
Calle Verdi 79 – Barcelona
100% vegan and organic cousine, you can make your own lunchbox by choosing a carb and a vegetal protein option. There’re two tables where you can enjoy your meal together with locals and share your bentobox. They organize interesting workshop as well.
Calle Ermengarda 34 – Barcelona
Offers vegetarian and vegan choices including vegan croissant and cupcakes, typical Spanish bocadillos made with vegan sausages, smoothies, and a few other vegan dishes that change daily.

Vegan tapas restaurant, offers fruit juices, pizza, salads, vegan cakes, breakfast food,

Cat-themed craft beer and burger bar 100% Vegan Bar, it serves a selection of vegan burgers and a daily wheat-free plate; also raw vegan cakes.

Macrobiotic vegan restautant, recently opened. Uses organic and natural ingredients. Also take away.

Spacious and colorful, huge 100% vegan selection, homemade fresh juices and milkshakes. Reasonably priced.
C/ Dels Angels 3 – Barcelona
Specialized in vegan and veggie pizzas, also offers vegan burgers made with lentils and nuts, smoothies, vegan desserts and a few other dishes like pasta and empanadas.
C/Hipolit Lazaro 34 and Avenida Gaudi 74 – Barcelona
Small take-away vegan food shop in the Gracia neighborhood. The menu changes daily and includes starters, main courses, salads, rolls, and cupcakes. Inexpensive.
C/ Torrent de L’Olla 138 – Barcelona
Three outlets in Barcelona, this Vegetarian and Vegan restaurants serving a wide range of dishes from starters to dessert, fruit juices to cocktails. Moderate.
c/ Escudellers 54 – pl/ Emili Vendrell 1 – pl/ Fossar de les Moreres
A take away shop serving vegan food and raw dishes. Much of the menu is gluten-free.
Calle Seneca, 4 – Barcelona
An all-vegan beer garden/cafe and smoothie/juice bar. Serves made-in-house tapas and dishes, plus cakes and cupcakes, all made with ingredients from local farmers.
Calle Lepanto 220 – Barcelona
Offers quick vegan bites including snacks, salads, a daily menu, juices, and bocadillos. Has vegan cheese, seitan, tofu, vegan empanadas, tortilla de patata, and cakes.
Carrer Escudellers 42 – Barcelona
Organic raw food cafe and takeaway shop. Offers daily lunch menus, savory and sweet snacks.. Grows its own wheatgrass, micro-greens, and sprouts that are used in drinks and dishes. Uses eco-friendly, compostable packaging.
Doctor Dou 10 – Barcelona
This list doesn’t pretend to be exhaustive as Barcelona is luckily sprinkled with vegan restaurants and new ones are opening.
